Project goal

Showpo wanted to create an iOS and Android shopping app that would allow for unique features such as faster ways to search through the large product catalogue, new ways of communicating with customers through push notifications and app-only promotions.

Approach

The app needed to maintain all website functionality as well as additional app-only features. I began by creating a set of user stories to capture all functions that our customers needed. Then, I prioritized the ‘must haves’ and the ‘nice to haves’. Following this, I mapped out the flows and information architecture and set about designing the first low-level prototype for the first release of the product. During this process, I conducted research through analysis of competitors as well as best in class e-commerce stores.

The result

The Showpo iOS app currently has 9.5K ratings in the app store and 4.8 star rating. It is ranked number 80 in the shopping category.
